She was on a bus between Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Washim when she left her bag. In addition to the money, she also had important medical documents. Unknown to her, there was someone who was trying to find her every day to return it to her. It was a conductor named Raju Vani. When Gaikwad accidentally left her bag, it was Vani who found it. He instantly took it to the Washim Bus Depot and submitted the bag to the management. However, he didn’t give up and, for two years, kept searching for the bag’s rightful owner. Gaikwad travelled on the same bus where Vani was working, giving him a chance to return the money and the bag.
Kasabai Gaikwad left ₹ 24,000 while travelling by bus in 2024, reported News 18. She praised Vani’s honesty and integrity, rewarding him with ₹ 1,100.
