A Bengaluru-based entrepreneur has shared a post of appreciation for his sister’s employer, saying that the company for which she works gave her a month off after the death of her father. Vibin Babuurajan did not name the company in his X post, but mentioned that it is based in Coimbatore.

Writing in praise of family-led businesses that take care of their employees, he said: “Mind you, the company has existed for 50+ years, exports to 40+ countries, and has over 4,000 employees.
“After working for about 16 years in corporate, I can say family owned businesses are better than so-called professionally managed businesses,” another said. “We mock family-owned companies as Lala companies, but I’ve heard many stories of the owners taking good care of employees in their time of need,” a third person agreed.
