Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday announced that the Centre decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure the swift trial of paper leak cases. The PM claimed those who jeopardised the future of students “would not be spared.” This is his first reaction to the ongoing protests demanding the resignation of education minister Dharmendra Pradhan due to the NEET paper leaks and irregularities in the exam system.

On X, Modi said protecting the interests of students remained a priority for the government and directed authorities to take all necessary steps to operationalise the decision.
“Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth!” the Prime Minister said.
“We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students,” he said.
Modi also issued a stern warning to those involved in examination irregularities. “Those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared,” he said.
