Bengaluru’s traffic congestion has once again become the focus of an online discussion after a man shared how he was forced to abandon an autorickshaw ride and walk the remaining distance home.
A short stretch near a busy junction became so congested that the auto barely moved for nearly half an hour, according to him.
“Bro, Bengaluru’s traffic, bro. Here, an empty road is visible, but just behind it to the left, there is a square, bro. At that square, there is so much traffic, so much traffic. I had to reach home quickly, so just walk, bro. And in that street, just to the left of that square, look how empty it is, bro. This is Bengaluru traffic. In the clip, Shivang can be seen walking away from the traffic while pointing towards the relatively empty street beside the congested stretch. His frustration appeared to stem not only from the long delay but also from having paid for a ride that could not take him all the way home.
I took an auto for 150 rupees, and that auto—look at this. I mean, from the start of that square to reaching the square, it took me 25–30 minutes, and still that auto driver is stuck there. Because he was in a hurry, taking to Instagram, Shivang shared the video and described how he had paid ₹ 150 for the auto but eventually got down around one to two kilometres before reaching home. Because there was no option, so, I am still 1–2 kilometres away from my house, but I still got down there.
