The show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah , known for weaving a story around some social issues while using comedy to entertain people, has introduced food safety and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspections as part of their story line. There is already a crackdown on food safety measures that has managed to make its presence felt in the world of Gokuldham Society. This is happening amid all the hype created by the crackdown on food safety violations by the Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe, who has gained media coverage for cracking down on these violations.
The show features a large ensemble cast, with Dilip Joshi , Amit Bhatt, Mandar Chandwadkar and Sonalika Joshi in pivotal roles.
