The NEET re-exam was held on June 21, 2026 in a single shift- from 2 pm to 5.15 pm after the cancellation of the May 3 examination for over 20 lakh students over the alleged paper leak.

To check their scorecards, candidates need to follow these steps.

The provisional answer key for the examination was released on July 13, 2026 and the objection window was closed on July 15, 2026. The final answer key for the re-examination was released earlier today.

To download the final answer key, candidates must visit the official website, click on the link for ‘Final Answer Keys for NEET (UG) – 2026 Re-Examination’ under News & Events, following which the document will open up.

In the final answer sheet released earlier today, the NTA made two key revisions in the Physics section of the paper. One question was dropped entirely, while another was revised after it was found to have more than one correct answer. One of the disputed questions involved a Vernier calipers problem that asked candidates to determine the length of a wire based on the instrument’s reading. This question was dropped from the final answer key.

The second question on electromagnetic waves had two correct options, instead of a single correct answer as originally indicated.

As a result, NTA will award a total of 8 marks – 4 each for dropped and question having multiple answers – to all the candidates who appeared in the examination
