Pastor John Paul Miller is back in the spotlight following the Netflix documentary ” Death of a Pastor’s Wife .”

Prosecutors allege that JP lied to authorities in October 2024 about how often he contacted Mica in March 2024 and whether he damaged the tires on her vehicle. As per reports, authorities say the alleged harassment began in November 2022 and continued until April 27, 2024, when Mica died by suicide at Lumber River State Park in Robeson County. The two are believed to remain married. the couple and other church members continue to meet at smaller locations, with JP serving as pastor and Suzie leading worship, as per People While Solid Rock Church no longer operates at its original location. She died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and her death was ruled a suicide. JP has not been charged in Mica’s death and has denied any involvement.

JP’s bond conditions say he cannot leave South Carolina without permission from the probation office, according to documents obtained by TMZ . They later told their church about their relationship. Supporters are now pushing for “Mica’s Law,” which they say would help protect people from abusive spouses, according to TMZ. The “Death of the Pastor’s Wife” includes video and text evidence, along with testimonies from people who spoke about the alleged abuse JP inflicted on Mica during their relationship. “[Mica] told me she had known for a while,” Korn said, according to People.
