In an interview with Pinkvilla, Akanksha dismissed speculation about getting a nose job, saying, “People are making videos that Akanksha got a nose surgery done. No, I didn’t do anything. Only a chiselled face works in this industry. It’s a surgery. I had saved a lot of money. However, Akanksha eventually decided against undergoing buccal fat removal, noting that the procedure could have permanently changed the shape of her face.
She then opened up about once considering buccal fat removal after being told that a sculpted face was essential for the modelling and pageant industry. “I was about to start my journey of Miss Universe and several people told me a thousand times that you will have to reduce your cheeks. I was told to get my buccal fat removal done. I started saving money for it,” she said. Recalling how seriously she considered changing her appearance, she said, “I came to Bombay especially to get this surgery done. Looking back, she said she was glad she did not go ahead with the surgery.
