Officials announced the news during a press conference. Karen Solomon, whose husband Kurt Solomon was found dead, has been found dead in the woods in Worcester, Massachusetts, after a seven-day search. Investigators believe the deaths were part of a tragic murder-suicide involving the couple.
Kurt spent much of his life serving his community as a Worcester police officer. He was also a member of the Police Union and Our Lady of the Angels Church. He had a 31-year career with the Worcester Police Department and made many lasting friendships with fellow officers and community members.

He also leaves his sidekick dog Merle and family, neighbors, and friends both on and off the police force, the obituary said.
