Fleetwood Mac star Stevie Nicks is mourning the death of her younger brother and only sibling, Christopher Aaron “Chris” Nicks, who died on September 4, 2026, at the age of 72.
The family revealed Chris Nicks had spent the past two and a half years fighting the disease but largely kept his diagnosis away from the public eye, according to Newsweek. “I love you, daddy. Rest easy,” Parkinson Nicks added.
“Second star to the right, and straight on till morning,” she wrote in the caption.
Christopher contributed to Stevie’s career
Despite choosing a more private life, Christopher still made several contributions to Stevie’s professional journey. Stevie Nicks once spoke publicly about the strong bond she shared with her brother, Christopher Nicks, during a 2018 concert.
In 1985, he co-wrote “The Nightmare,” a song featured on her third solo album, Rock a Little. Before performing Fleetwood Mac’s iconic song “Landslide,” Stevie took a moment to dedicate the track to her younger brother and acknowledge his unwavering support. “I would like to dedicate this song to someone who no matter what our problems are or how much we fight or what comes between us, he always has my back,” she said, per USA Today. “My brother, Christopher Nicks.”
