The Malayalam film was set for an Onam release on August 20, but now stands postponed. Fans will have to wait a little longer for Dulquer Salmaan ‘s upcoming film I’m Game. Dulquer took to his Instagram account to explain why the release date was shifted.

About the film

His last full-length lead role in a Malayalam feature film was the 2023 action-thriller King of Kotha . He was recently seen in a cameo appearance in the 2025 film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. In a long note shared on his Instagram account, Dulquer wrote, “The game gets bigger. The release gets wider. The actor went on to say, “The new release date comes with a larger vision for the film as #imgame gears up for a wider theatrical release across markets. The film will now simultaneously release in multiple languages-Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada taking the experience to audiences across the country and beyond. He concluded the statement saying, “This decision has been made to give #imgame the scale, reach, and theatrical platform it truly deserves, allowing audiences across different markets to experience it on the big screen. The wait gets a little longer, But the game gets bigger! Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, I’m Game will mark Dulquer’s return to Malayalam cinema. Apart from Dulquer, I’m Game also stars Antony Varghese and Mysskin in prominent roles.
