The 2026 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony has come to an end and the final match between Argentina and Spain has now kicked off at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, known to FIFA as the New York New Jersey Stadium.

For the first time in the tournament’s history, the final has featured a halftime show.

The halftime show is curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. It is featuring Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira and BTS as co-headliners, along with Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, PS22 Chorus and Coldplay.

Who is performing at halftime
The halftime show is expected to be around 11 minutes long. Setting up the stage on the pitch, where the game is being played and is expected to take up to seven additional minutes, meaning the total break between the two halves could stretch beyond the usual time.
