Delhi police issues traffic curbs at 30 locations; Read to check: A practical reader guide

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory, announcing of possible diversions and restrictions in as many as 30 locations across the national capital region on Saturday (October 10, 2026), owing to the protests by various organisations against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar at Jantar Mantar. The restrictions are scheduled to be imposed since 6 A.M., depending on ground conditions, mentioned the official X handle of Delhi Traffic Police.

Posting on X, the Delhi Traffic Police wrote, “Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance, avoid non-essential travel through affected areas. Please keep extra time in hand if travelling towards railway stations, ISBTs, or the Airport via New Delhi and Central Delhi”. DELHI TRAFFIC POLICE ADVISORY In view of the law and order situation, traffic may be impacted on following stretches in Delhi on 10.10.2026. 1. Diversions Diversions will be enforced starting from 06:00 AM on 10.10.2026 depending upon prevailing situation. The previous decision of closure of 57 railway stations got revoked following an immediate rap by the Supreme Court.

It noted that commuters are requested not to undertake non-essential travel on Saturday.
