A Mumbai-based biker was killed on Wednesday morning after her motorcycle was hit by an unidentified heavy vehicle in Chhattisgarh’s Balod district, police said. Thakkar was part of a 23-member biking group that was travelling to the Bastar region. She was 24 at the time of her death.

At the time of her accident, she was riding from Mumbai to Raipur via Nagpur. She was riding a Bajaj Avenger at the time of the accident. She had shared an Instagram post hours before her death.

The accident took place around 6 am at Markatola Ghat under Purur police station limits on National Highway 30, roughly 100 km from state capital Raipur. Thakkar was part of a 23-member biking group that was travelling from Mumbai to Bastar. She lost her life on August 12 after colliding with a heavy vehicle. Riddhi Thakkar maintained an active presence on social media – she had over 18,000 followers on Instagram where she posted under the handle @gearglimpse54.
