Crime and policing briefing: Was TikToker Santos Salazar arrested in LA? Bri Olsen 'attempt to murder' claim

Santos Salazar, one half of the viral Snapchat and TikTok couple Bri and Santos, has become the unexpected subject of attention after the 2K saga. Posts are viral on social media that Santos Salazar was arrested in Los Angeles in attempt to murder charges.

Was Santos Salazar Really Arrested? What We Know And What We Don’t

Screenshots of arrest records from Los Angeles County started going viral. To complicate things further, a video purportedly posted by Bri Olsen showing Santos being arrested has also gone viral. In the video, officers could be seen cuffing the influencer at what appears to be their home. And to make matters even worse, some claim that the supposed attempt to murder was on Bri Olsen. All of this has set the internet on fire. Especially those who have been following the duo over the feud with fellow content creator 2K were confused about whether Santos Salazar was really arrested . The first story appeared to be a video of Santos being arrested by LAPD official. A caption: “I’m so sorry, guys. In a subsequent story, she reshared a question from a follower asking what Santos did. “A lot of people are asking domestic violence. But no, it was something worse,” she wrote in the caption. Upon examining the record, Ht.com found that it cleverly obfuscates the name of the arrested individual leaving no scope of confirming. Ht.com could not independently locate the arrest record of Santos Salazar in Los Angeles County. Thus, the claims of the creator being arrested remain as yet unverified.

Subsequently, an arrest record has gone viral which states that a $1 million bond was set for Santos in attempt to murder charges.

Background and Possible Cause

Brianna Olsen and her former partner and content creator, John Giesey, known online as 2K, had a son, Winter. They subsequently separated, and Bri started dating Santos. A dispute over custody over Winter.

Though reports about them largely centre on internet gossip, by 2025, they were fighting over where Winter would live, visitation, travel between California and Texas, and decision-making authority.
