Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) convenor Abhijeet Dipke was booked along with others in Maharashtra’s Latur for allegedly entering a government school without permission. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against Dipke, party worker Ajinkya Shinde and other CJP workers at Ausa police station.

They reportedly sat with students and raised questions about the conditions of the school. The complaint alleged that they were causing obstruction to educational and government work. The programme, which seeks to reform education and amenities in government schools across the country, was started from Dipke’s native village in Hingoli.

The Cockroach Janta Party members have been visiting government-run schools, under their ‘ School Thik Karo ‘ campaign, which was launched on the country’s Independence Day, August 15. Dipke and his associates have been accused of entering the school premises without permission from the authorities, according to the FIR. The CJP leader also recorded videos of their visit and interaction with students and posted it on social media, the complaint said.

Since then the CJP members have visited several schools in different states, while also facing opposition in some.
