In her latest post on Instagram, Celina said that she was questioned in court for spending around 1.5 hours a day working out. Actor Celina Jaitly has been through an ordeal in her personal life lately. Amidst her divorce and alleged domestic abuse case against her husband, Peter Haag, separation from her three children, and her brother being detained in the UAE, she has been vocal about it on her social media.

She began, “Imagine having to defend weightlifting in court. Honestly, through some of the hardest chapters of my life, working out has been one of the few things that has consistently stood by me.”

Discipline equals accountability. & that becomes the example you set, specifically for your children. So amidst everything happening in my life, I still find myself asking, Was it really wrong for me to lift weights for one & a half hours a day? Or was lifting those weights precisely what gave me the strength to carry everything else? The weight on the barbell was never the heaviest weight I carried. It was simply the one weight I could choose to put down.”

Investigation and Response
Celina married Austrian national Peter Haag , and their twins were born in 2012. In 2025, the actor filed a case under the Domestic Violence Act in a Mumbai court, alleging domestic violence from her husband. The Mumbai police registered an FIR against Peter under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
A Lookout Circular (LOC) was also issued against him for alleged non-cooperation in the investigation. The FIR was registered at Versova Police Station on the basis of a complaint by Celina. She gave birth to a second set of twins in 2017, but one of them died due to a health issue.
The case against him pertains to allegations of cruelty, physical harm, criminal intimidation and sustained harassment, according to ANI.
