CBSE Class 10 Second Board Exam 2026 results declared

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday announced the results of the Class 10 Second Board Examination 2026. Students who appeared for the examination can access their results through DigiLocker.

The board said the second examination was introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which provides Class 10 students with two opportunities to appear for board examinations in an academic year.

While the main examination was held from February 17 to March 11, 2026, the second board examination took place from May 15 to May 21.

Details

A total of 6,64,027 candidates registered for the second board examination, of whom 6,63,777 appeared, according to CBSE.

The examination was largely taken by students seeking to improve their performance in the main board examination. Out of 5,13,955 candidates who appeared for improvement, 3,08,095 improved their performance, accounting for 59.95 per cent.

For regular students, the board said the better of the two performances — the main examination and the second board examination — will be considered while preparing the final result.
