BJP, ABVP take out marches in Jharkhand, target Congress over: A practical reader guide

The BJP and its student wing ABVP on Tuesday (November 3, 2026) took out separate marches in Jharkhand, accusing the Congress and opposition parties of misleading people over democracy and the SIR of electoral rolls.

“The Congress and INDIA bloc have been attempting to mislead people ever since the Modi government came to power in 2014. In Giridih, hundreds of BJP leaders and workers participated in a ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ march led by state BJP president Aditya Sahu. Senior BJP leaders, including Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi and former state BJP president Ravindra Rai, also participated. No eligible voters were removed from the electoral rolls. The names of Bangladeshi infiltrators were struck off. “In a democracy, a change of power happens through the ballot, not through mobocracy. Governments are formed and changed through people’s votes, not by showing strength on the streets.

So, in the name of the ‘Save Vote’ campaign, they want to protect the voting rights of Bangladeshi infiltrators,” he said. The former Chief Minister said the BJP had launched the ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ campaign across the country to counter what he described as the Congress’s “false narrative”. The anarchic politics of ‘regime change’ in India, inspired by political developments in Bangladesh and Nepal, is not acceptable,” an ABVP leader said. Central working committee Member Disha Ditya alleged, “The Congress has created an atmosphere of confusion and negativity among citizens of this country regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), which is very unfortunate.”

Earlier, they alleged irregularities in EVMs and now in SIR.
