Mona Shourie Kapoor, the first wife of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and mother of actors Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor, died on March 25, 2012, at the age of 48. Her death came just weeks before Arjun made his Bollywood debut with Ishaqzaade in May 2012, making it a particularly difficult period for the actor. She died due to multiple organ failure.
