An Indian man living in Japan recently sat down to calculate his expenses since moving to the country and was surprised to find that he had already spent nearly ₹ 1 lakh on basic living costs in just 25 days.
Taking to Instagram, Dev Vijay Vargiya shared his expense breakdown, saying his monthly salary had not yet arrived, but his budget in Japan had already been exceeded. “And this is only for my house and basic expenses. His calculation included rent, electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi, SIM and transportation costs, but did not include food or daily groceries. I haven’t even added my biggest expense yet: food and daily groceries, which is where I spend the most here,” he said. “Per capita income there is higher, so the price is reasonable considering that,” another wrote.
