Air India’s Chief Digital and Technology Officer Satya Ramaswamy is leaving the airline to pursue opportunities in the artificial intelligence space, according to a social media post.

Ramaswamy has been instrumental in the digital transformation of Air India since the airline was acquired by the Tata Group in January 2022.

Ramaswamy also said that he would very much continue to be part of the Air India management team till his successor is in place and settled, to ensure a smooth transition.

He has been associated with the Tata Group for 16 years.
Ramaswamy has a Ph.D in distributed computing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and an MBA in finance and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management, Chicago. He has 12 granted patents to his credit.
Air India has embarked on an ambitious transformation plan and has faced various headwinds in recent times.
