Actor Deepika Padukone is not attached to star in Brahmastra 2 , contrary to what the rumours are. The actor’s team has shared a statement to dismiss the speculation on her casting through her official spokesperson.
The film, which earned over ₹ 400 crore at the worldwide box office, was one of the major commercial successes of the Hindi film industry during the pandemic.
In April 2023, Ayan had announced that the two sequels of Brahmastra will be “bigger and more ambitious than Part One”.
In a chat with fans in 2023, Ranbir confirmed that Brahmastra 2 is very much in the development stage. He said, “So Brahmastra 2 is heavy into writing. Ayan has gone ten times bigger than part 1, his idea, his thought, the characters. He is working on War 2 right now, so the plan is to finish War 2 by mid next year and we start shooting hopefully by end of next year, or beginning of next to next year.
