A woman was killed and a suspect is dead following a shooting inside of a northwest Indiana antique shop Saturday night, August 22, NBC Chicago reported. A press release stated that Lake County police and the Indiana State Police were called to an antiques shop located in the 2900 block of West 181st Avenue in Hebron shortly after 7 pm.

Before details about the shooting surfaced, “ active shooter ” claims surfaced on social media as witnesses reported seeing several cops and fire trucks at the site near Lowell, Indiana . “We are working to gather more information on a shooting that has just occurred in Hebron,” R eporter Paul Goddard wrote . He later said in an update that police told him two people died at the scene, including the shooter.
