Three of the family were killed and two others were injured after a tractor-trailer overturned in the fields of Kachwa-Bahlolpur road in Karnal on Wednesday, police said.

However, residents of Kachwa and other villages alleged the bad condition of the road as the reason behind the incident. They alleged that earlier accidents had occurred on the same road due to multiple potholes, and yet, no repairs have been carried out.

“Their tractor fell after it got unbalanced. Three people were killed and two others injured in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
Investigating officer ASI Karambir Singh said that the family is engaged in the straw dealing and were here to take the stock to Shamli. The bodies were sent for post-martem and will be handed over to the family after autopsy,” he said.
