Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas marked the festival of Karwa Chauth on October 29 and shared pictures from the celebrations on Instagram. The actor shared how Nick made sure to spend the special day with her even though he is busy with his tour.
After films such as Mary Kom, Dil Dhadakne Do, Bajirao Mastani and Jai Gangaajal, Priyanka is all set to return to Indian cinema after years with SS Rajamouli’s Telugu film Varanasi, which also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film stars Mahesh Babu as Rudhra, Priyanka as Mandakini and Prithviraj as Kumbha. The film will be released in theatres for Sankranthi 2027.
Observed this year on Thursday, October 29, the Karwa Chauth puja muhurat will last from 5:38 PM to 6:56 PM, according to Drik Panchang. The actor showed her DIY mehndi design, her breaking the Karwa Chauth fast, Malti hugging Nick, and another showing her in a ceremonial red outfit. She wore a traditional sindoori red kurta set to break the Karwa Chauth fast she observed for her husband, Nick Jonas. Karwa Chauth is a traditional Hindu festival where married women observe a strict, waterless fast (nirjala vrat) from sunrise to moonrise to pray for the longevity, safety, and well-being of their husbands.
