Thane: A long-running business dispute turned violent in Badlapur West around midnight on Sunday, when a group of 10 to 12 men allegedly attacked two men with axes, choppers and knives, killing a 28-year-old man and seriously injuring the other. Police have arrested two of the accused in the case and are searching for the remaining suspects.

They also attacked Yadav and his brother, Abhishek Yadav, leading the family to file a police case. Both parties have been involved in a business dispute for several years and have filed complaints against each other in the past. We have arrested two people, Aman Singh and Abhishek Singh, both of whom have several criminal cases registered against them.

The rivalry dates back to November 2021, when the groups clashed and filed cross-complaints at Badlapur West police station, police said. In 2021, Avnish, along with his other group members, visited Yadav’s shop and threatened him to stop supplying local developers. “A case of murder and attempt to murder has been registered against 13 people. We are still searching for the other 10 accused,” Kishore Shinde, senior police inspector at Badlapur West police station told Hindustan Times.

The attack was linked to a dispute between the two groups over supplying building materials to construction sites, according to the police. Police said two the accused, identified as Aman Singh and Abhishek Singh, had allegedly been threatening Yadav and his brother for the past three years. Both were arrested and have several criminal cases registered against them, police said. Both groups were involved in supplying bricks, cement, and slab-supporting materials to local real estate developers, according to investigators.
