US President Donald Trump has called for Ukraine to elect a new president, saying the country needs a leader who can negotiate an end to the war with Russia.
His remarks came a day after he announced a proposed Russian diesel supply deal, which he said would help bring down fuel prices in the US and global markets. Trump also warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky against attacking Russian oil refineries, particularly facilities that produce diesel fuel. And what does he do? He goes and hits the diesel fuel. “You know what I suggest? “That war would have never started. There was no reason that that war with Ukraine and Russia started. That’s a war that should have never started.
Because that’s a world problem, “We told Zelensky, ‘You can do whatever you want to Russia, but don’t hit the refineries. Because he could’ve made many deals and for some reason he never does,” Trump said, i suggest they get a new leader who could make a deal. It started due to incompetence. (Zelensky) lost 30% of your country and you’ve had over a million people go between the two of them, over 2 million people killed.
He better damn well stop,” Trump said. “I think it’s time for Ukraine to get a new President,” he added. And I think it’s time for Ukraine to get a new president,” Trump said.
Trump announced the proposed diesel supply arrangement with Russia on Friday in a post on Truth Social, following what he described as a successful discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
