A total of ₹7.65 crore in enhanced incentives was announced for the State’s Asian Games medal winners. The gold, silver, and bronze medallists received ₹75 lakh, ₹50 lakh and ₹30 lakh respectively, an increase from the earlier ₹50 lakh, ₹30 lakh, and ₹20 lakh respectively. The men’s team, which won silver, received ₹15 lakh each, while the women’s team, which won bronze, received ₹10 lakh each. There will be sports events for transgender athletes, and we plan to build sports hostels in all 38 districts. Our mission is to ensure Tamil Nadu wins medals at the 2028 Los Angeles and 2036 Olympics,” he said.
