Organised and hosted by Lovely Professional University (LPU), the Bharat Innovation Challenge 2.0 (BIC 2.0) urges students from Classes 8-12 aged between 13 and 18 years to participate and identify real-world problems and develop innovative, practical, and scalable solutions. The Bharat Innovation Challenge is back with its second edition.
Season 2 has 10 innovation themes, 29 winning categories, ₹14 lakh in cash prizes, including a ₹3 lakh Grand Champion prize, along with theme-wise and special awards. Registrations and online submissions close on October 10. The scale achieved in Season 1 showed us the extraordinary innovation potential within our schools. With Season 2, we are taking that opportunity to an even bigger stage. Students can participate in teams of two-five students with one faculty mentor and develop solutions across 10 themes: Agritech & Rural Innovation, Healthcare & HealthTech, Smart Living & Urban Intelligence, Cybersecurity & Ethical Tech, Education & EdTech, Climate & Sustainable Tech, Aerospace & Frontier Tech, AI & GenAI, FinTech & Financial Inclusion, and Social Impact, Culture & Heritage. The grand finale will be held on November 20-21. Stage 1 involves online registration and submission of ideas through a powerpoint presentation or PDF. The top teams will advance to the grand finale on November 20-21 at the LPU campus, where students will showcase their innovations and pitch it before experts and industry leaders. For registrations, the participants can email: [email protected] and dial +919888598702 for further details.
The top teams will advance to the grand finale at LPU, where students will also gain opportunities for certificates, internships, mentorship, national exposure and potential funding support. Through the Bharat Innovation Challenge, we want to give school students a national platform where their ideas are not only heard, but encouraged, mentored and transformed into solutions with real impact. The competition will take place in two stages. Entries will be evaluated on innovation, problem-solving, feasibility, impact, scalability and presentation. The finalist teams will be provided stay, food, and local pick-and-drop facilities. The initiative is supported by The Hindu in School as media partner, Quantiphi as AI Partner, Kangaro as stationery partner and Scarters as lifestyle partner.
