Nobel Prizes 2026 will be announced between October 5 and 12, 2026, to honour outstanding contributions in the fields of medicine, literature, arts, chemistry, physics, economics and peace. They are regarded among the world’s most prestigious awards and are highly anticipated each year.
Nobel Prizes are awarded for outstanding achievements in medicine or physiology, physics, chemistry, literature, economic sciences, and peace. The awards are highly coveted and bestow instant international fame on the recipients. Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar M. Yaghi “for the development of metal–organic frameworks. The prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded to Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell and Shimon Sakaguchi “for their discoveries concerning peripheral immune tolerance. Nobel selected the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to award the prizes for chemistry and physics, the Swedish Academy for literature, Sweden’s Karolinska Institute medical university for physiology or medicine, and the Norwegian parliament for peace.
The Nobel Prize now comes with a recently increased amount of 12 million Swedish crowns or $1.21 million, according to a Reuters report.
