A spokesperson for Prince Harry on Wednesday condemned as “extraordinarily reckless” two press photographers seen outside his children’s UK school.
Harry’s children Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, are in school in the UK after the family moved back to Britain.
“There is a world of difference between legitimate media activity and photographers walking the perimeter of a school, stopping to look into the grounds and monitoring children,” the spokesperson said. It was “concerning” that “certain European paparazzi appear unwilling to respect the privacy of children at school,” the spokesperson added. Two young men with backpacks and using a white van were spotted by private security and school staff walking the perimeter and watching the school’s pupils, according to reports. “Whatever photographs they may have been seeking, this was not only an unacceptable intrusion into the privacy of children; it was an irresponsible and ill-considered way to conduct themselves in the vicinity of a school,” he added.
