On Thursday, SDT posted about his ‘rebirth day’, writing about how he was recuperating even five years after the accident. Five years ago, Telugu actor Sai Durgha Tej met with an accident in Hyderabad that left him hospitalised for 35 days. A man named Syed Abdul Farhan saved the actor by assisting him during the so-called golden hour. When an Allu Arjun fan accused him of ignoring the man who saved his life, the actor responded.
He was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, and the doctors announced that he had sustained a collar bone fracture and soft tissue injuries. After shooting for Virupaksha and Bro, the actor announced a break to focus on his health. He will soon star in SYG – Sambarala Yeti Gattu.
On September 10, 2021, SDT was riding a single-seat motorcycle near the Durgam Cheruvu Bridge in Hyderabad when he lost control of the vehicle. He remained hospitalised for 35 days.
The fan, however, did not back down, claiming that even two years ago, Abdul had said he had lost his job. In a long note he posted on his social media, SDT called the anniversary of his accident his ‘rebirth day’. He wrote, “Five years, with gratitude. Rebirth-Day. I needed every single one of them. There are still a few things I’m working through, my speech and a few other challenges, but I’m getting there. One day at a time. The actor also addressed those who wondered why he didn’t thank the doctors, the ambulance driver, and others, stating that he thanked them in the first video after he regained consciousness. The fan also claimed that false publicity about the Mega family giving him money and a car had affected him. “I have financially helped him and felicitated his father and him, I really hope you’re satisfied with this one. Thank you Nikhil,” responded SDT .
I’ve recovered 90% from my injuries.
