Presley Gerber, the model son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27, according to TMZ citing reports from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
His cause of death has not been released, and officials are awaiting autopsy results. Reports about Presley’s death have drawn attention to his long-public struggles with addiction and mental health. Gerber died on Sunday, September 20, while at a rehabilitation facility. In 2025, he shared details about his treatment journey and efforts to stabilise his condition in an Instagram Post.
“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” a spokesman for Presley’s mother, Cindy Crawford; father, Rande Gerber; and sister, Kaia Gerber, told PEOPLE. He said he wanted to discuss his experiences publicly so others facing similar struggles would feel less isolated.
Presley had previously spoken openly about his mental health challenges.
He revealed that he had worked with multiple psychiatrists while trying to manage his symptoms and improve his mental health. The model also discussed experiencing anxiety and depression and his struggle with finding the right treatment.
