Comedian Carrot Top or Scott Thompson reportedly attempted suicide on Friday and was rushed to a hospital. TMZ reported that the 61-year-old had tried to kill himself in the Las Vegas area and was taken to a nearby hospital.
It was reported that a second accuser Zachary Defazio, has come forward, and is backing the claims of Billboard chart singer Brian Evans. Carrot Top remains in hospital ‘recovering’ and is surrounded by his family and those closest to him, TMZ further noted While his Luxor show stands canceled after the suicide attempt. Carrot Top’s suicide attempt has come amid legal battles for the comedian. Defazio alleged that he and Carrot Top shared explicit text messages and photographs.
The 25-year-old also claimed that he met Carrot Top on Grindr, the gay dating app, when he was 19, and was given alcohol by the comedian while he was below the legal drinking age limit.
