Blas’ official cause and manner of death have yet to be determined by the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office. “Based on the preliminary investigation, alcohol consumption appears to have been a contributing factor in the male’s death. “Despite life-saving measures, the male was pronounced deceased by medical staff. However, alcohol is being eyed as a factor in his death, police said. “Cal State Fullerton is aware of the death of a student that occurred over the weekend at an off-campus residence. Our hearts are with the student’s family and the campus community during this incredibly difficult time. The university is providing support to students, including counseling through Counseling and Psychological Services, and is reaching out to those who may be affected,” a statement from the university read, in part, per ABC7.
