Two separate shootings took place along the J’Ouvert and West Indian American Day Carnival, Brooklyn route on Labor Day , according to police, as per PIX11 .
One man was shot and taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition. Officers recovered a firearm from the scene, and one person has been taken into custody. Police are looking for a person of interest described as a man wearing gray jeans and a black shirt.
Police got a 911 call at 4:02pm local time about a shooting on Nostrand Avenue. Just five minutes later, at 4:07pm local time, another call came in from Eastern Parkway and Kingston Avenue about a woman being shot. Police said a 23-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were stabbed in the neck, while a 36-year-old man was stabbed in the face.
