Guwahati, Sept 6 Vice President CP Radhakrishnan arrived in Assam on Sunday morning on a two-day visit, during which he will attend a convocation ceremony and lay the foundation for various projects.

He was received at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati by Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, among others. “Welcome! He will then attend a civic reception and lay the foundation for various projects at a programme at the Gauhati University. This will be followed by an interaction with students, faculty members and leading citizens at the university’s convention centre.

“Hon’ble Vice President will take part in a host of programmes and enrich us with his words of wisdom,” he added. Radhakrishnan will thereafter proceed to Shillong, where he will attend a public reception and cultural programme at Soso Tham Auditorium, an official statement said. Upon arrival in Guwahati today, the Honorable Vice President of India, respected Shri CP Radhakrishnan Ji, was welcomed at Guwahati International Airport,” Acharya said on social media. On Monday morning, Radhakrishnan will first visit the Kamakhya temple.
