A day after a 65-year-old man involved in finance and transport business was shot dead in Yamunanagar, the Rohit Godara gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the daylight, sensational murder.
In April this year, Yamunanagar police arrested three men for their involvement in the firing incident outside a plywood factory owned by the ex-MLA, who is also in the mining and transport business. However, police have not made any arrests in this case so far. In 2024, the ex-MLA was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate The investigators are also looking into the link between both the firing cases.
HT cannot verify the authenticity of the post, however, people familiar with the matter said that the police are considering the viral post as part of the investigation, given the deceased’s family’s relations with the ex-MLA.
