Air Tanzania on Friday suspended flights to Russia, first foreign airline to do so, following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement about the threat to Russian airspace
“The decision follows a routine risk assessment of the operating environment along the route. ATL conducts these assessments continuously across our entire network, and where the outcome supports a pause, we take one. Passengers holding tickets on affected flights will be offered a full refund or rebooking to an alternative date or routing at no additional cost, the airline said, asking flyers to contact at [email protected] or +255748773900, or through travel agents.

Flightradar24 data showed disruptions on Wednesday at Moscow’s main airport, while some airlines cancelled flights though they did not specify the reason for doing so, according to a Reuters report.
