The U.S. military said on Tuesday (August 25, 2026) that four people were killed in a strike on a vessel in the Caribbean, the latest in a series of attacks Washington says target “narco-terrorists”, but human rights groups have condemned as extrajudicial killings.

Earlier on Monday (August 24), the U.S. military said that two people were killed in a strike it launched on a vessel in the Eastern Pacific over the weekend.
Southern Command in a post on X said, “Confirmed intelligence revealed the vessel’s active involvement in narco-trafficking. The operation killed four narco-terrorists,”.
