A New York family is grieving the loss of a mom of four who died after crashing her car into her family’s swimming pool, as per People . Rahmani was removed from the car before police arrived at the scene, and officers performed first aid. She was then taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Long Island, 40-year-old Allison Rahmani died on Friday, August 21, after losing control of her SUV outside a Hewlett home, according to the report, according to police in Nassau County. Police told People in a statement that Rahmani was in her GMC in the driveway of a residence on Elinor Road when she lost control of her car, “striking a tree, a parked and unoccupied 2006 Honda and subsequently becoming immersed in an inground pool. Rahmani was able to call 911 from the vehicle but could not be saved and died on the way to the hospital, police said, as per the New York Post.
Sources said police believe she suffered some kind of medical emergency that led to the accident and do not suspect foul play, although the probe is ongoing. The teacher and mom of four appears to have suffered a medical episode before the fatal crash, sources close to the investigation told the New York Post on Sunday.
Her cause of death has not been made public. The crash is still under investigation.
