New Delhi, Following the notification of the Master Plan for Delhi-2047, the Delhi Development Authority plans to launch a major outreach drive to accelerate its implementation, officials said on Sunday.
“Dedicated meetings will also be held with government agencies and service providers to strengthen inter-departmental coordination. The Centre notified the Master Plan this week, providing a roadmap for future development of the national capital. Under the directions of Delhi LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the DDA will hold more than 20 stakeholder meetings over the next three months, engaging directly with elected representatives, government agencies, professional bodies, industry, residents, landowners, and other stakeholders. As part of the initiative, the DDA will hold separate interactions with MPs and MLAs on key provisions of MPD-2047, including Transit-Oriented Development , High-Density Corridors , Land Pooling, and Low-Density Areas . Officials said the extensive exercise aims to build awareness about opportunities under MPD-2047.
“The meetings will provide a platform for focused interaction on various provisions of MPD-2047 and facilitate greater coordination in translating the plan’s vision into action,” the DDA said. To boost industrial growth, the DDA will consult industry bodies and chambers, including CII, FICCI, PHDCCI, ASSOCHAM and DSIIDC, on measures to promote industrial development and facilitate land availability for industry, it said. The DDA said, “Architects, planners, professional institutions and private developers will be engaged in discussions on development opportunities under TOD, HDC and Land Pooling. At the grassroots level, the DDA will reach out to RWAs, Group Housing Societies and Cooperative Group Housing Societies on redevelopment of group housing,” the DDA said.
