Actor Kartik Aaryan has undergone successful knee surgery at a Mumbai-based hospital. The actor recently sustained a knee injury while performing an action sequence on the sets of one of his films, after which he had to undergo surgery.

Announced on July 18, the award was given to Kartik for his portrayal of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar, in the biographical sports drama Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan.
