New York, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has met with industry leaders and members of the diaspora in New York, with discussions focusing on opportunities for enhancing trade and investment linkages between Gujarat and the US.
The Chief Minister also extended an invitation to investors and industry leaders to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027 and explore new opportunities for partnership and investment in Gujarat.
The Consulate General of India in New York said in a post on X that it organised an interaction between Patel and representatives of the gems and jewellery sector from New York and New Jersey. The Consulate said that participants, including from the Saurashtra Diamond Association “discussed opportunities for expanding trade and investment, as well as issues relevant to the growth of the sector and stronger India–US commercial linkages. “The discussions focused on opportunities for enhancing trade, investment and entrepreneurship linkages between Gujarat and the United States, with participation from young business leaders across diverse sectors,” the Consulate said. The interaction showcased Gujarat’s strong manufacturing ecosystem, infrastructure, FinTech capabilities, investment opportunities and growing strengths across key sectors, the Consulate said in a post on X.
