A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Yamanashi Prefectural Assembly of Japan and the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly to promote friendly exchanges. The agreement aims to encourage regular dialogue, mutual understanding and exchange of experiences between the two legislatures.
The visit of a Japanese delegation to UP, following CM Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Japan, reflects the growing trust and strengthening ties between the two nations, he added. Pathak said the number of medical colleges in the state has risen from 47 to over 83. Vocational education and skill development minister Kapil Dev Agrawal said India’s global standing has strengthened due to the efforts of PM Narendra Modi.
Speaking at the event, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak said under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of the country’s rapidly growing economies. “Improvements in law and order, along with the development of expressways, air connectivity, power infrastructure, and other basic amenities, have made the state an attractive destination for investment,” he added. Nursing colleges are being developed alongside medical colleges and there has been a significant increase in seats for MBBS, MD, nursing, and paramedical courses, he said. The minister said the convergence of Japanese technology and Uttar Pradesh’s youth power would unlock new avenues for development.
