Pima County Sheriff’s Department Search & Rescue deputies are responding to reports of human remains found in a desert area, but authorities say there is no indication so far that they are connected to the Nancy Guthrie investigation.
PCSD Search & Rescue deputies are responding to reports of human remains found in a desert area near West Ajo Way and South La Cholla Boulevard. The remains appear to have been at the location for an extended period of time.
No connection to Nancy Guthrie case so far
Additional information will be released as it becomes available. Savannah Guthrie and her family continue to seek information about Nancy Guthrie’s whereabouts, offering a $1 million reward for information that could help bring her home. At this time, there is no indication the remains are connected to the Nancy Guthrie investigation , as per PCSD. Investigators have continued examining the case as a possible kidnapping for ransom, while Sheriff Chris Nanos has defended the department’s handling of the investigation.
