BCI chairman to students amid NALSAR convocation row — 'Sincerely regret and apologise'

Bar Council of India (BCI) Chairperson Manan Kumar Mishra on Saturday apologised to law students across the country amid a raging row over its order barring state bar councils from enrolling NALSAR University of Law’s 2026 graduates as advocates, even as the decision was revoked later.

“The developments of the last few days have caused concern and anguish among a section of the student community.

Whenever students feel hurt or aggrieved, their concerns deserve to be heard with patience, sensitivity and respect,” he said in a statement.
