Actor Yash is busy promoting the release of his upcoming film, Geetu Mohandas’ Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups . He attended Aap Ki Adalat as part of the promotions and spoke about his career and more. He also spoke about his decision not to attend the funeral of a fan who died by suicide a few years ago so as not to set a wrong precedent. Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, attended the funeral.
The film also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria in lead roles. Yash was last seen in Prashanth Neel’s hit KGF films, which were released in 2018 and 2022. His next film, Toxic , with Geetu Mohandas, is hitting screens on August 26 after numerous delays.
On the show, Yash was asked about the death of his 25-year-old fan, Ramakrishna, from Kodidoddi village in Karnataka’s Mandya district. He died by suicide, and as per reports, had left behind a note expressing his wish for Yash and Siddaramaiah to attend his funeral. The politician obliged, but the actor didn’t.
He stated that he did not want other fans to believe that such an extreme measure would compel him to attend. That mindset itself is wrong. What will happen if I go to his funeral after he has died? And if I encourage that, it is not right.”
Because he did not want to set a wrong precedent, the actor explained that he stayed away.
