Gurugram police arrested a man after a female cab driver alleged that he deliberately showed her an obscene video on his mobile phone and later misbehaved with and assaulted her when she objected, police said on Thursday.

The driver was sitting in his vehicle and playing an obscene video on his mobile phone, deliberately turning the screen towards her. Police said that a case was registered at Police Station DLF Sector-29. Police identified the accused as Arjun Kamawat, a resident of Village Parsa, District Madhubani , Bihar , who currently resides in Nathupur, DLF Phase-3 , Gurugram .
The woman recorded the incident on her phone and uploaded the video on social media, where it later went viral, according to police. When she protested, the driver abused and misbehaved towards her,” police said.
Earlier this year, in May, a Rapido cab driver was arrested for allegedly masturbating in the presence of a woman passenger in a moving cab in Gurugram. “On Wednesday, while she had parked her vehicle for charging, another driver parked his vehicle alongside hers for charging.
“We are questioning him. Legal proceedings in the case will follow the law.
The investigation is underway,” said the Gurugram police spokesperson.
